About The Apostolic Old Catholic Mission

The Apostolic Old Catholic Mission operates independently while receiving sacramental care from Archbishop Svetoslav of the Bulgarian Old Catholic Church (BOCC), a legally registered religious institution based in Sofia (UIC 177269719).

The BOCC holds valid apostolic succession and provides episcopal oversight to our Mission, ensuring that our sacraments are recognized and celebrated within the historic continuity of the Church.

The apostolic succession of the Apostolic Old Catholic Mission is valid and historic. We trace our episcopal lineage through the Bulgarian Old Catholic Church (BOCC), which in turn stands in continuity with the Old Catholic Churches of Europe, themselves descended from the ancient Catholic sees, including the See of Utrecht, long recognized for its valid orders.

Eric Michel Ministries International, led by His Eminence Metropolitan Archbishop Eric M. Gagnon, entered into full communion with the Apostolic Old Catholic Mission on 1 August 2025. This relationship affirms our shared commitment to sacramental life, apostolic tradition, and the inclusive vision of the Gospel. While both churches remain fully self-governing, this communion reflects a prayerful and collaborative bond in service of Christ.
