✠ May opens like a quiet chapel…
A month set apart, where the Church breathes with Mary, Mother of Jesus,
and learns again how to wait, how to pray, how to receive
And in these first days of May,
The Church lifts her eyes to Saint James the Less—
the one some call the brother of the Lord,
a man of silence, of closeness, of hidden fidelity.
In the Gospel of Matthew (13:55),
His name appears almost in passing—
Yet in the mystery of God,
nothing is ever insignificant.
✠ Then comes the Upper Room.
After the Ascension, before the fire,
before the wind, before the mission—
There is prayer.
The Acts of the Apostles tells us:
“All these devoted themselves with one accord to prayer,
together with the women,
and Mary the mother of Jesus,
and with his brothers.”
— Acts of the Apostles 1:14
There… in that sacred stillness…
We find them together:
- Mary — the Mother, the heart of the Church
- The Apostles — called, yet still waiting
- And James — close by, not only by blood,
but now by grace
✠ May is not only about devotion.
It is about communion.
To stand where they stood.
To pray as they prayed.
To remain with Mary…
until Christ is fully alive within us.
Saint James does not speak much in Scripture—
But his presence speaks:
👉 Stay.
👉 Pray.
👉 Remain with Mary.
