November 11, 2023 OUR LADY OF THE PORTUGUESE
In 1641, King John IV, in a solemn ceremony, had taken the crown from his head and had placed it at the foot of a statue of the Blessed Virgin. He declared her to be Queen of Portugal under the title of the Immaculate Conception.
