Hello to our African friends visiting our site.
We appreciate it very much. To the visitors from Ghana, Senegal, and Rwanda, thank you
Did you know we have an African Subsidiary website?
The EMMI African office is in Johannesburg, South Africa. Through the Interdenominational Association of Churches, we are in eight Christian African countries: Kenya, Uganda, Malawi, Burundi. Cameroon, South Africa, Togo and Nigeria.

HISTORY
In spring 2017, Rev. B. Philip Kumar of the Pentecostal Church in Vadapalli, India, and Rev. Xaviour Sebastian Chikwatu of the United Methodist Church in Malawi and Pastor David and Petronilla Turyatemba of an Evangelical Church in Uganda requested to work with us.
The “Eric Michel Ministries International ministry of the Interdenominational Assembly of Churches was born upon the teaching of Christ. We are an association of member churches and para-churches serving members in over 85 head churches worldwide. Through our local churches and online ministries, we provide a Seminary, a Bible Academy, a missions outreach program, and resources such as counselling, a support committee for Ecclesiastical rules and order through our Canon Law and Ecclesiastical College (House of Bishops), and more.
The IAoC is divided into five regions, Africa, America, Asia, Europe, and Oceania, overseen by a “District Superintendent Bishop”, who provides management and spiritual support to the churches he oversees.
Canada is the central headquarters, where Archbishop Eric M. Gagnon (Minister & Founder of Eric Michel Ministries International) is the international Elected Prelate and executive director of the Board of EMMI. Members vote annually on resolutions and other business of the EMMI IAoC. All Ministers serve under the annual assembly named the Synode Symposium.
The Interdenominational Assembly of Churches Ministry Association (IAoC) was created in 2017, and we had our 1st Symposium in January 2018. At that time, we had only four (4) church affiliate members and two associate members. In the last months of 2018 and the beginning of 2019, 18 church members or Christian organizations were represented by 83 Ecclesiastical persons from Nepal, India, Pakistan, Malawi, Uganda, Kenya, Canada, Cameroon, Togo & Ghana, Brazil, USA, and Burundi.
The Interdenominational Assembly of Churches is an association of churches, para-churches, clergy, and lay leaders.
Our messages glorify God, and our posts reflect that.
Our members are African Evangelists, African Methodists, African Presbyterians, Canadian Baptists, Canadian and American Catholics, and, most often, African and Asian Pentecostals.
At the Synod on 2026.10.10, the Synod adopted a resolution to rename the Interdenominational Assembly of Churches (IAoC) to the Interdenominational Association of Churches (IAoC).
An interdenominational association of churches is a collaborative network or alliance that brings together individual Christian congregations, ministries, and leaders from different denominations. The Interdenominational Association of Churches is open to all Christian Churches, Para-Churches, clergy, and lay leaders.
Key Characteristics
• Shared Core Beliefs: Rather than focusing on distinct sectarian rules or secondary doctrines, these associations center their fellowship on core Christian foundations such as the Gospel and historical creeds.
• Cooperation Over Competition: Member churches or ministers maintain their individual traditions or independent standing while partnering on broader goals—such as regional outreach, disaster relief, community service, or ministerial training.
• Distinction from Denominations: Unlike a single traditional denomination with a strict hierarchical governing body, an interdenominational group acts as a bridge or umbrella organization for diverse groups.
