Facebook And Me

This is me, Eric Michel, in clergy dress-up for Mass.

Facebook says that I cannot be identified with this profile picture.

In my Facebook account, I had over 300 pictures of myself as a clergy member, a chaplain, in a paramilitary uniform, and in civilian clothes.

Plus all ministry credentials from the government

This isn’t the first time Facebook has been after me; in fact, it is the 5th time, and the last time. I am a 75-year-old man with a lot of responsibility, and I don’t spend time spamming, misleading, or doing anything wrong, first because it is not correct, and second because I don’t want to lose my credibility.

On this date 2026-09-28, I post this:

Dear friends,

Between 2017 and 2019, you reached out to us on Facebook to express your interest in joining our association. Unfortunately, because we lost access to our Facebook account, we couldn’t keep track of our members during that time.

Every day, Facebook ask me to create 20 new posts, and when I do, I get this result.

Spam

We don’t allow people to take actions at high volume that might bother others.
Examples of things we don’t allow
Repeating the same comment or post over and over
Using automatic means, like bots, to take actions such as posting, liking or sharing at high volume
Messaging many people you aren’t connected to in a short period of time.
Your freedom of expression
We want you to share freely with others. We only remove things or restrict people to keep the community respectful and safe.

My post on my own page no can do

How can you spam your own page??? If anyone doesn’t like the posts, they can leave.

Note that this is all done by a computer;

No human work at Facebook

I have a great loss again: 2334 contacts, for working relationships, friends and family.

Was done to me in 2014, 2020, twice in 2025 and now in 2026, with many thousands of contacts lost

Like many businesses, they care about only one thing: email; you change email voila! A new you. But this time I am fed up with Facebook’s stupid algorithms.

Note: I am on Twitter (X). Bluesky, LinkedIn, Tumblr, to read my posts on other platforms than WordPress.

But if you want to chat with me, I have been here often since June 15, 2020.
